179 days to go

June was one heck of a month. It came around full circle for me in every way and July...oh well what can I say? you proving to be a faithful friend. Started out so well for me and so I am wishing everyone the best of the second half.

Haven't blogged in a while thanks to mad exhaustion and procrastination (my biggest companions these days). Brings to mind a question. How often do we put till tomorrow what we can do today? well, I am no moral judge but I really have to stop doing that.

I promise to have some time to put some interesting tit bits about my crazy head soon as i can keep my two eyes open and not facebook :) but in the mean time have a lovely JULY (I always loved the name JULY...and June too. they sound pretty :) )

In my head, i am on ToP Of tHe wOrLd! IaMjUsTsAYiNg

So today was one of those days...I had extreme of emotions. i gave some really encouraging advice to two friends yesterday (at least thats what they said) and i think, in a way, i encouraged myself too which made me happy. I woke up with a leap in my step this morning. humming my favourite tunes, nodding my head to the bangs of my favourite rock songs (yes. I love rock) and appreciating how green the grass was and how peaceful the mornings are and all the mushy mushy stuff people say about nature. That was in the morning.

Early noon ushered in part two - the other extreme. I got really sad about recent issues concerning me and how helpless I was about them and all that stuff so much so that I started to tear up while working (I almost embarrassed myself there. Thank God for the "dust in my eye" excuse that I had ready in case anyone noticed. phew!) and i went on about how it should not be happening to me and how I deserve better, feeling sorry for myself and stuff and then I read the obituary of a very successful person who is probably laying on an embalming table at the moment. I then realised how selfish i was being. I thought of so many other folks and their issues and how more pressing it seems for them to have a breakthrough. again, I pinched myself for being selfish. bottom line is i realised today that what ever is happening to anyone, you not worst off. There are people out there with mammoth size issues. people living with the worst of your worst case scenario. people who will trade anything to be in my position. My personal motto has always been "life's too short; you live only once". so I am saying now as long as you have life and breathe, appreciate it cos life is fleeting, transient, here today gone tomorrow. tooooooo short to be wasted on unhappy things and please never regret nothing and never be to unhappy to laugh at yourself.

Iamjustsaying.....i have got tonnes of problems but i don't have the worst and so i can still laugh, play and be happy cos as long as i don't have a sentence on me or dead then there is hope. so today my heart goes out to the family of Late (now thats an issue) Tayo Aderinokun. May His soul rest in peace! i didn't know ya but i feel terrible and sad whenever anyone dies...its so hard to imagine the other side of life (story for another day). Rest in Peace Tayo.

guess i am really stupid when it comes to computers

When i say i don't know i hoot about technological stuff people think i am just being modest. now less than 3 hours after i open a blog page, i don't know how to get to the blog anymore..

So how did i get here finally? funny story, after i had racked my head and gone through every page on my top sites including eBay (how stupid right?) i finally remembered that i had put up a link on Facebook to this blog and that was how i reconnected to it. wonder what i will do when the post with the link gets inaccessible due to time.
While i was lamenting on my very low intellectual prowess with any technological stuff it brought a question to mind. why are most women very unreceptive to any bit of technology? i mean name it remote controls, computer games, phones e.t.c. i have always wondered why we had to set the TV to the Africa Magic for my mom before we leave the house cos she wouldn't bother with it after we all gone or why my Iphone after such a long time of owning it is still the most under utilised "equipment" within 5 mile radius while my male friends have got all the "Apps" and stuff i don't even understand on theirs. it beats me!
Hopefully i would find my way back here again soon but till then if you find the answer to my query, drop a line and don't forget to stop by every now and again.......ciao mates!

yayyy finally figured out how to do this

Been wondering for a long time now how people set up blogs 9i have always wanted to have a blog) and today from the most unlikely source i found out. so amma start blogging....Nubian Duchess here!

i guess il get better as the days go by but just to let y'all know i will be talking about crazy everyday happenings that we all ignore but can be really funny. i have a very wild and humorous imagination so il be putting it to best use here but thats not all. i am also going to be blogging about some serious issues from the environment to cancer and to the little i know about technology (Heaven help me cos i know nothing about technology).

bottom line: keep watching this page.

P.S. a little girl inspired me today and i think it is worthwhile that we all give it a look and see what we can do for this inspirational young champ cos she is a winner! click on this link and get inspired to help. i teared up reading part of her blog. now i am thinking of teaming up with my mates to help make one wish come true.
